IDM Melange with Marina Wittner

In our latest IDM Melange, we were joined by Marina Wittner, Expert for Education at the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV) and member of the advisory board for “Bildung:Tomorrow” for an insightful discussion on the future of the Austrian education system. The conversation focused on identifying structural reforms to modernize learning and, crucially, on strategies to bridge the persistent achievement gaps between pupils. By addressing the socio-economic factors that influence academic success, Wittner highlighted the need for a more equitable framework that ensures equal opportunities for all, regardless of background. The exchange underscored that refining the educational landscape is essential not only for individual empowerment but also for the social cohesion and long-term prosperity of the entire region, event at a very young age.
