Péter Techet for Le Figaro about CPAC in Budapest
In the French daily newspaper Le Figaro, Péter Techet spoke about whether and how Europe’s far-right politicians support Viktor Orbán with their visit to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest.
Techet emphasized that even the far right in Europe is divided on the question of how to deal with Russia. He also noted that Washington, in particular, has so far failed to provide the support that Orbán had expected: Trump did not give Orbán any financial assistance and is unlikely to visit him again during the election campaign.
