Exchange with Doina Cajvaneanu, Minister-Counsellor at the Romanian Embassy

On 9 March 2026, Sebastian Schäffer met with Doina Cajvaneanu, Minister-Counsellor at the Romanian Embassy in Vienna responsible for EU affairs. 

The exchange at IDM provided an opportunity to share perspectives on the region, including discussions on the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) in light of its 15th anniversary this year, as well as on EU enlargement. The meeting also offered the possibility to learn more about the current priorities of each other’s work and to explore further collaboration opportunities between the Romanian Embassy and IDM.
