Cultural, political, social and economic traditions of Central Europe play an increasingly important role in European integration processes. The common heritage of Central Europe, which reaches beyond ethnic, religious and state borders, has become part of present discussions on European identity and the future enlargement of the EU. Seminars and lectures will focus on theoretical and practical aspects of heritage: • Galicia as space of identity; • cultural memories of Central European cities; • heritage protection and management; • policy of heritage in Poland and Ukraine; • the case of Lviv. Faculty members come from Austria, Poland and Ukraine.
