in cooperation with International Cultural Centre/Krakau, Jagellonian University Cracow, Österreich Kooperation, Austrian Consulate General Cracow/Austrian Foreign Ministry, Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs

Target Group:
The two-week programme welcomes graduate and advanced undergraduate students from East & Central Europe to explore questions of Central Europe in context of: continuity and change; collective memory; myths and identities in politics of memory; communist material and immaterial legacies; management of cultural heritage in urban centres; civil society community building and plurality (1968-2008).

Workshops:
Students will participate in two workshops: the Memories of Prague 1968 and Managing Communist Utopias: the Case of Nowa Huta which accompany lectures, seminars and panel discussions.

Cost: € 1000,- (scholarships can be applied for, see application form for details)

20. Juli - 9. August 2008: 14. Österreichisch-bulgarisches Sommerkolleg

Dieses Sommerkolleg, veranstaltet vom IDM und der Universität Wien, bietet sowohl Anfängern als auch Fortgeschrittenen die Möglichkeit an der Schwarzmeerküste in Varna und in Blagoevgrad Bulgarisch zu lernen.

Teilnehmen können Studierende und junge Graduierte an österreichischen Universitäten und Hochschulen, die Bulgarisch lernen oder gute Kenntnisse einer anderen slawischen Sprache nachweisen können.

Kosten: Anmeldegebühr: € 200,-; die Kosten für Kurs, Unterkunft und Anreise, sowie Frühstück und Mittagessen werden durch ein Stipendium des BMWF gedeckt.
