Sie kamen, sahen und lernten

18 Teilnehmer aus 9 europäischen Staaten waren die begeisterten Teilnehmer bei der ersten Summerschool 2002, die das IDM von 27. April bis 11. Mai zusammen mit der FH Eisenstadt – Studiengang für Internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen – veranstaltete. Auf dem Programm des zweiwöchigen Lehrgangs, der abwechselnd in der FH Eisenstadt und der Wirtschaftskammer Burgenland in englischer Sprache stattfand, stand nichts geringeres als die Vorbereitung auf die Zukunft der MOEL. Das Thema „Langfristige Strategien für die MOEL nach ihrem Beitritt zur EU“ wurde von insgesamt 15 renommierten Vortragenden aus Wissenschaft, Politik und Wirtschaft in 5 Themenblöcken behandelt, wobei die Teilnehmer –Postgraduierte von wirtschaftlichen oder juristischen Studienrichtungen aus MOE sowie der EU– durch ihre eigenen Referate selbst wichtige inhaltliche Beiträge zu den Themen Strukturpolitik, Geldpolitik, Landwirtschaft, Außenhandel und ausländischen Direktinvestitionen lieferten. Die besten Beiträge der Teilnehmer sowie der Referenten werden von einer Jury ausgewählt und vom IDM publiziert.

Daneben gab es natürlich auch ein umfangreiches Rahmenprogramm mit Tagesausflügen nach Bratislava, Sopron, Wien und zum Neusiedlersee sowie ein geselliges Abendprogramm (Weinverkostung, Heurigenbesuch,..). Resümee einer Teilnehmerin: „Exzellent. Wir haben viel gelernt, eine echte Zukunftsregion entdeckt und wichtige neue Kontakte gemacht“.

Resultate der Evaluierung der Summerschool 2002 durch die Teilnehmer

Die Teilnehmer an der Sommerschule 2002 füllten am Ende ihres zweiwöchigen Aufenthalts anonym einen Fragebogen aus, wobei sie die einzelnen Punkte nach dem Schulnotensystem von 1 bis 5 bewerteten. Das Resultat (Gesamtdurchschnitt aller Bewertungen von 1,24) spricht für die hohe Qualität der Sommerschule und die hohe Zufriedenheit der Teilnehmer.

Folgende Fragen wurden gestellt:

1) Waren Sie mit den Inhalten der Sommerschule zufrieden? (Contents)

2) Waren Sie mit der Struktur des Lehrplans und der Einbeziehung der Teilnehmer zufrieden? (Participants)
