The event will present the results of a comprehensive policy analysis by Master’s students in Public Policy from the Central European University. The report examines how candidate countries can be gradually integrated into the workings of the EU Council given political, legal, security and administrative dimensions. Building on this analysis, the speakers will propose an innovative tiered framework designed to bring about structured, safe and meaningful participation of candidate states in EU decision-making processes.
The presentation will offer concrete policy recommendations for EU institutions and candidate countries, presenting a forward-looking roadmap for a more resilient and inclusive Union.
The framework and policy recommendations will also be published as an IDM Policy Paper.
