IDM Melange with Frosina Antonovkska from Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe

On 10 September 2025, the IDM team organised an online exchange with Frosina Antonovkska, Climate and Energy Policy and Network Coordinator for the Western Balkans at Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe. The European network brings together over 200 environmental and development organisations to campaign for decarbonisation and climate neutrality.

CAN Europe is active both in Ukraine and in the Western Balkans, supporting the region’s alignment with the EU acquis as well as promoting a just transition as part of the coal phase-out. The network also engages with governments, civil society and the media on topics such as critical raw materials, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and climate disinformation.

During our exchange, we discussed potential for collaboration as part of our joint work in promoting democracy, advancing EU enlargement and making young people’s voices heard.
