Péter Techet for Denník N / Napunk on Alice Weidel’s visit to Budapest

In the Hungarian-language version of the Slovak daily Denník N, Péter Techet analyzed the visit of Alice Weidel, the AfD’s chancellor candidate, to Budapest, where she met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Techet argues that Orbán cannot officially recognize Weidel’s party as a partner yet—due to concerns from the German economy regarding the AfD—but in the long run, Orbán can expect the AfD to be part of a larger far-right alliance in the EU.
