Policy Paper by Malwina Talik “Between Security and Human Rights. Addressing State-sponsored Instrumentalization of Migration by Belarus and Russia”

 

IDM Research Associate Malwina Talik has authored a policy paper entitled “Between Security and Human Rights. Addressing State-sponsored Instrumentalization of Migration by Belarus and Russia.” The paper is part of the Fellowship at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, under the prestigious programme for Young Women Experts in Regional Security and Foreign Policy.

Malwina delves into the modus operandi and objectives of Belarus and Russia in their state-sponsored instrumentalisation of migration. She provides a critical evaluation of the responses by impacted countries and highlights the concerns raised by human rights organisations regarding the far-reaching consequences of these actions.
