Under the Patronage of the Working Community of the Danube Regions: Facing Polarization – Embracing Dialogue
In cooperation with Working Community of the Danube Regions and the Insti- tute for the Danube Region and Central Europe, the EFW Danube Salon 2025 focuses on the theme “Facing Polarization – Embracing Dialogue.”
The event explores how a culture of remembrance can help counter social divisions and promote dialogue in times of increasing polarisation.
In advance guests can join spotlight tours of the exhibitions “Unterwegs. Reise in die Sammlung” at the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich and “Planet Pammes- berger” at the Karikaturmuseum Krems.
The Danube Salon in the Landesgalerie will host an interactive discussion featuring voices from culture, science and politics. The focus will be on how historical experiences can build bridges between societal groups and contribu- te to a shared understanding of the past and a constructive approach to the fu- ture. The event welcomes participants from academia, culture, politics, and civil society for an open exchange of ideas and perspectives from across Europe.
The event will be held in English.
