IDM MANAGING BOARD
Mag. Georg KRAUCHENBERG
Historical, cultural, geographical, scientific and economic conditions have always offered the opportunity for cooperation in the Danube Region and in Central Europe. The IDM has been dedicated to this for decades.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the countries of the region undertook extremely dynamic development. Close cooperation took place in many areas. The majority of the countries are now members of the EU, while others are candidates for accession. The resurgence of the common
Danube Region and Central Europe has largely become a reality.
This must be preserved and defended. Especially in the present time of new centrifugal forces and a changed environment, the intensification of regional cooperation, as is being done by the IDM, is particularly important and motivating at the same time.
