Initiative for Improving Cooperation of Cultural Institutions from the Danube Basin Regions

The panel conference is conceived as a meeting of heads of cultural institutions from the countries of the Danube basin, members of the Working Community of the Danube Regions, within the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Presidency of the Working Community of the Danube Regions 2021-2022. The panel is organised with a view to improving the cooperation of cultural institutions, additional networking through joint projects, and the creation of lasting value that is promoted through this initiative, in line with the realisation of the title Novi Sad- European Capital of Culture 2022.

The conference should facilitate improvement of cooperation between cultural institutions, initiation of guest appearances and exchanges of artists from partnering regions, thematic exhibitions, cooperation improvement in the cultural heritage context and exchange of experiences in the field, organisation of literary evenings, guest theatres and music ensembles performances of cultural workers, co-production within the area of contemporary creation and many other segments of culture. Through the panel presentation of positive examples from the rich practice from the previous period, as well as the exchange of ideas, directors of the cultural institutions would be additionally encouraged to engage stronger in this type of interregional cooperation during the AP Vojvodina presidency of the Working Community of the Danube Regions and realisation of the title Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture 2022.

Due to the current pandemic situation the conference will take place in a hybrid format.
