15:00 - 16:00 MESZ/MEZ

Our last seminar pre-Corona was held at the Khazar University Baku, founded as a private university even before the breakup of the then Soviet Union. During the workshop “Into an Uncertain Future?” the participants developed future scenarios for EU-Caucasus relations in 2040. These scenarios have recently been published (available here). We will talk with our host and cooperation partner Elmar Mustafayev about our experience, the content of our publication and how the situation developed in Azerbaijan since then.

Elmar is head of the Political Science and Philosophy Department at Khazar University. He received the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module Grant for the project entitled „Communicating the European Union to the Students through the Simulation Games“. Furthermore, he is a member of the Standing Group on Russia and the PostSoviet Space of the Italian Society of Political Science.
